Treatment planning

How long does it take until my lost tooth has been completely replaced?

After the insertion of the implant we must wait three to six months before placing a new crown on the implant. This time is regularly needed to ensure that the implant has been anchored securely in the bone and has grown into the bone. In individual cases we can place a temporary crown earlier on the implant, and we will discuss with you how long the expected healing time in your case will be (immediate loading protocol or delayed immediate loading protocol of implants).  Within 2-4 weeks after placing the temporary crown, the permanent crown can be produced. In the meanwhile, you do not have to walk around without the tooth, since you will have a well-fitted temporary.

What can I do, if my jawbone is too weak?

Modern techniques and biocompatible bone substitute materials enable us to successfully insert dental implants even in apparently hopeless situations. In such cases a pre-treatment of the jawbone is performed to stimulate natural bone growth with the aid of special materials (Membranes, bone substitute materials).
