Cosmetic dentistry is an integrative part of modern dentistry of the 21st century as well as of our treatment philosophy in the ZKW in Mannheim. Esthetics” literally translated means “science of the senses”. The greak term [aisthesis] also means “comprehension” and “cognition”, therefore, dentist, lab technician, dental hygienist and patient have to be one team.
Beautiful teeth should match the lips, lip line, smile line and the lines of the nose. Multiple factors influence the judgement of beauty, primarily depending on the composition of mouth, eyes, nose, cheek bones and hair color. The wish “for a better look” very often implicates an interdisciplinary and complex approach of the treatment team. Dental hygienists usually start to refine oral hygiene and health of gum tissues which will help to prepare the soft tissues for the following treatment of the white esthetics. Our team of specialists will help you to define your personal and natural dental beauty.
